A Brief Background about Judy Grace
I spent more than 30 years in banking, all of it in HR.
I started my career as a Training Assistant at Union Bank of the Philippines. A bit of a rolling stone, I went on to work in seven banks, both local and multinational.
My last corporate stint was with Metrobank, where
I served as First Vice President and Head of Organization Development and Learning.
Throughout my journey, I worked with leaders at different levels on leadership, talent, culture, performance, and the many ways HR can help the business succeed.

Founder, The Calm Edge

Mindful HR Leadership

Calm Leadership in Complex, Highly Regulated Environments

Over time, I became increasingly interested in one question:
Why do some HR leaders establish influence with the business while others, despite having the same expertise, struggle to be heard?
My answer has a lot to do with credibility — and with the ability to translate human insight into something the business can understand and act on.
That question eventually led me to write The Calm Edge: A Mindful Path to Credible and Compassionate HR Leadership and, after more than three decades in corporate life, to start my own consulting practice.
Today, I work with HR leaders in banks and financial institutions on leadership, organizational development, and the human side of business performance.
I have a BA in Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman and a Master’s in Organization Development and Leadership from Fielding Graduate University. I’m also a certified mindfulness teacher and Guided Autobiography instructor.
These days, I’m enjoying having more space to write, facilitate, travel, meditate, and explore what it means to do meaningful and unhurried work.
